Golf short game coaching
This is one of Colin’s favourite areas to coach as there are endless ways of playing from the same spot to the same target. He loves to develop his pupil’s creative instincts with the aid of the top-class short game facilities at Castle Golf Club
Colin has adapted some games of consequence (David Alred and Karl Morris). He’s developed a number of putting & chipping games with the use of Touring professional statistics so his players can evaluate their performance. Measuring performance in practice, is the key to developing playing performance.
On course playing golf lessons
A playing lesson can often provide a coach with real feedback on their pupils’ abilities. How often have we heard “I am hitting it great on the range but can’t bring it on to the course?
A playing lesson is probably the best way for a golf coach to truly see how a player is developing in terms of course management, shot selection and mental skills.
If you practice well but can’t replicate it on the course, this is a great way to get to the root of the problem.
Full Game Assessment
Golf is a game of many skills. A full game assessment entails looking at every department of a player’s game. Then carrying out skills tests and identifying an action plan based on the golfers’ data. This action plan will help the player achieve their golfing goals.
